Well deserved

Adam, Libby and I all had a great day. The bungee was fantastic, the afternoon in the pub was a laugh and it was great to see so many people turn out to support us.

We'll have raised in excess of £1100 for a fantastic charity so thanks to all your generous donations. If you haven't yet sponsored us and would like to, please follow the links in the sidebar ------>

Thanks have to go to Adam for a) the idea in the first place and b) reminding me why we were doing it when I was stood at the top of the bridge waiting for my turn and had that awful feeling of dread! Made it that bit easier, mate!

Paul would have loved to have watched it and would have been proud of us all.

Proud moment

Adam went last

Poor Adam had to jump without the support of either me or Libby. Not sure I could have gone over the edge without the encouragement he gave me!

Emma's turn next

I got the best of both worlds, I got to see the view from the top of the bridge of Libby jumping and the view from the ground of Adam jumping.

Libby went first

Because of the different ropes etc, our order was swapped around by the staff last minute. Libby was very brave to go first and did us proud - it was wicked to see her face coming hurtling back up towards the bridge!

Visualising

Adam's idea to face our fears and climb to the top of the Tranny before the jump. I had my reservations but turns out the sod was right. I had the last laugh though as he had a galeforce hangover. There's nothing quite like scaling 160 foot to get rid of the cobwebs!

Date and time confirmed

16th June 2007, Middlesbrough's Tranporter Bridge at around noon (approximately).

This is the UK's only legal bridge jump. Apparently. Not sure who in their right mind would do an illegal bridge jump, but there ya go.

Anyway please either sponsor us, get involved with your own fundraising event, donate to C-R-Y or, at the very least, go to their website just to see what it is they do.
